Just thought I would take a moment to post a couple quick videos of my two current works in progress, Suu-ey! and P.E.O.N.S. .. Suu-ey is nearing completion with menus done, most assets created already and I'm just in the process of adding in powerups and other obstacles for the player. Overall, I'd guess less than a month until playtesting begins.
PEONS is still rather early.. the menu system is all built and the basic gameplay features are in. It still needs a lot of assets though and all of its maps created.. by hand.. but with some tools and a couple php scripts, that should go pretty quick. I still need to add in enemies and some AI for them, but give me a couple months!
This is a remake of my original game Kollectiv, this time redesigned and focused for the Xbox. This game should be going into peer review within the next 48 hours and should be available for purchase on Xbox Live Indie games within a month!
Cannon #12 is now officially released and available for purchase on all XBox 360 consoles! W00t! Im just kind of tickled that it's up there! Its only 80 points (roughly $1) so go grab a copy today and make a starving developer happy! =)
No, not to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop, but how many passes does it take to get a game approved? Well I am crossing my fingers here because I'm up to 7 passes so far.. still no email saying its officially up there, but I am now happily confident it will make it. I'll just sit back and wait now and watch the approvals come in and cross my fingers that they do keep coming in. I dont know how many it actually takes, I dont think anyone does really, but I'm working my way there! And it's all thanks to the xna community!
The signup is up for the Dream Build Play 2010 and the new Microsoft Old Spice challenge! The trouble with the Old Spice challenge is going to be utilizing their assets.. Which as I read was a requirement. I dont like any of it really and they definately wouldn't fit some of the ideas I had.. ah well.. Sign up anyways!
Gotta love some companies.. Bills up for hosting. No biggee. Cant afford it this payday, but the 18th of this month will be fine.. So I email support to see about extending the billing date by 2 weeks.. Now.. Same contract dates.. Same price.. Just billed on Dec 18th instead of Dec 5th.. I've never run into a company that wouldnt make an arrangement for a long standing customer. They claim that by extending the due date it would be "Providing Free Services".. How? Same contract dates.. same payment amount.. just a different billing date.. thats not providing free service.. its called extending a due date.. But of course I was having fun with them in the emails asking for an explanation. Its got to be frustrating to some agent too when all they are allowed to do is email out a canned response saying the same thing in a million different ways without actually providing an answer or resolution..
Give it up for customer service! err.. non-service!
